Kodakara Strawberry liqueur is made with fat and juicy strawberries grown in the Shonai Sand Dunes, one of the largest sand dunes in Japan. The wild landscape (created by strong coastal winds), eroded buildings, billowing sea and long curved beach serves as creative inspiration to all who visit. The Shonai region in Yamagata Prefecture is where producer, Tatenokawa, is based.
Kodakara Strawberry is sweet, thick and refreshing and best served chilled and neat or on the rocks. It is suitable as an aperitif, dessert wine, enjoyed at the end of a meal or delicious on a hot summer’s day. (Pro tip: add milk for a delicious and thirst quenching drink!)
The addition of shochu has the bonus of elongating the life and so it will last for a few weeks once open, if kept in the fridge.
