Silent Blossom is a Junmai Daiginjo, polished to 40%. It has a rich, ripe and beguiling nose of sweet melon and white peach with delicate banana, sugared rice and rose in the background. It’s the kind of sake we could enjoy the aroma of all day long!
When first delivered onto the tongue, this superb, food friendly sake gently announces its presence. It has a super-light and delicate texture, is medium-sweet, medium-bodied with sweet melon and pear flavours that quietly taper off.
Silent Blossom is superbly balanced and well-integrated. A joy to drink simply by itself but also works well with meaty shellfish such as scallops or oysters. It has umami also stand up to heavier flavours such as curry or stews.
