Snow Blossom is a fresh and fruity sake, polished so that it falls in the top sake designation: daiginjo. As an unpasteurised namazake (pasteurisation is used to stabilise a sake and increase its longevity) it is very young, bright and zesty in flavour. Snow Blossom is also undiluted and has not been through the usual charcoal filtration process thereby retaining a texture which is slightly rough around the edges but big-boned and flavourful: the perfect complement to a youthful and lively sake.
Snow Blossom has a stunning red apple and melon fragrance and a fabulously fresh, light and zesty citrus flavour which is great enjoyed on its own or with fish dishes, especially oilier fish like mackerel. It also pairs a treat with creamy dishes like egg mayonnaise, cauliflower cheese, etc. and tastes fabulous with a rich pate.
NB – namazake must be kept cold; please refrigerate until drunk.
