Shirayuki Banzaimon
Fruity, luscious, rich, and layered with umami – Banzaimon has earned Silver this year after previously receiving Commended and Bronze. A bold & luxurious sake for drinkers who love character.
Konishi Hiyashibori “Gold”
A beautifully clean, delicate Daiginjo that offers remarkable value. A repeat medal-winner now with a Bronze in 2025, and a Silver in both 2022 and 2023.
Gozenshu “Mountain Fortress”
Made using the ancient Bodaimoto method, this sake is luscious, savoury, and distinctly complex. Back on the medal list again for 2025 with a Bronze.
Fukukomachi “Hidden Glade”
A refined, elegant Daiginjo from Akita, with a delicate nose and silky finish. Bronze this year — and previously the winner of the IWC Trophy for Akita Daiginjo in 2023.
Tatenokawa Kyuryu “Stream Red” (formerly Tatenokawa 33 “3 Peaks”)
New name, same brilliance. This silky, fruit-driven Junmai Daiginjo earned Bronze this year, and continues to impress with its precision and finesse.
While these didn’t take home medals this year, they were recognised by the judges for their exceptional quality:
A gentle, floral sake with lovely balanced umami.
Crisp, elegant, and designed with white wine drinkers in mind.
An earthy, expressive junmai with bold acidity and energy.
